What's New:
Fantastic Frogs, Discovery Place
Our final exhibit in Charlotte, NC, Fantastic Frogs combines live animals with a graphic novel storytelling approach. The goal is to bring visitors into the lives of frogs, the threats they face to survive, their amazing "super powers," and how humans impact them.

Minimal wall text, descriptive illustrations, video, photography, and the presence of live specimens bring the story together.
Project Build, Discovery Place
Project Build takes visitors on an adventure through the built environment. The exhibition and activities Quatrefoil developed challenge visitors to expand their understanding of what buildings do for us and what we get from being connected to the rest of nature.

The experience is driven through large-scale and hands-on physical activities. We prototyped and tested these interactives in-house ensuring visitors understand the foundations of context, utility and aesthetics.
THEM, Discovery Place
Just opened in Charlotte, NC, this health-related exhibition explores how the human body is an ecosystem with a myriad of flora and fauna. Visitors are presented with an exciting and educational experience, carefully walking the line between gross-out information and keeping the context within the human body.

We created a dramatic environment with hand sculpted artistic and environmental elements. Interactives include a variety of content delivery systems from low tech touchable models to custom bacteria themed video games. Our fresh approach to the wall graphics help bring the microscopic alien landscape to life in macro.
Artful Animals, Smithsonian Institution National Museum of African Art
Artful Animals explores how African artists create striking works of art using images based on an array of domestic and untamed animals. Many of the design elements are derived through direct observation of the animals in their natural habitat. Themes include notions of nurturing, power, wisdom, transformation, beauty and aggression.

In addition to Artful Animals, Quatrefoil also designed the reorganization and refurbishment of the Disney collection gallery. We are currently working on "Grass Roots" a show on basket weaving and basket culture.
