Chinese American Museum, DC

Quatrefoil was selected to design, develop, and fabricate a visitor center and orientation exhibits for the Chinese American Museum in Washington, DC.

Visitors to the Chinese American Museum in Washington, DC are greeted by a 20-foot-long story wall featuring photos and short messages from Chinese Americans. The sculpture is set in the center of an dynamic mural graphic of an American Chinatown.

Nearby, a digital timeline, “Amazing Stories, American Legacy,” invites visitors to explore milestones of the Chinese American experience from the last two centuries. Visitors can search along the chronological presentation or filter events by category.

Additional elements designed, developed and fabricated by Quatrefoil include a theater room, a digital registration desk where visitors can sign up for electronic newsletters and make donations, and a digital signage directory that shows a venue map, event schedules, and other news.
