Discovery Place Nature Galleries

Discovery Place is completely rebuilding and re-envisioning its 71-year-old Discovery Place Nature center. The new nature center will be a world-class environmental education center inviting the community to connect with and explore the wonders of the natural world.

Quatrefoil collaborated with Liollio Architecture and landscape design firm Hood Design Studio and designed interior gallery spaces and a variety of outdoor experiences across the entire 25,000-square-foot site.

The “Our Nature” display incorporates humans as part of the natural world, and visitors experience a more connected relationship as a lens to view our impact on the planet.

The exhibitions speak through a mosaic of voices and cultural perspectives atypical of traditional naturalists. The Quatrefoil team has successfully completed the Final Design phase and is preparing to move into the Construction Administration phase of the project. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2023.
